Personal Care: Accommodation and help with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, toileting, dressing and personal appearance.

Nursing Care: Accommodation and personal care plus 24/7 medical care and monitoring of residents with health issues supervised by qualified nursing staff.

Dementia Care: Accommodation and personal care plus 24/7 dementia care and support from trained professionals in the company of other residents without dementia.

We use a scoring system (similar to hotel rankings) to classify each residence by the type of accommodation and facilities on offer. Factors include room types, communal facilities, location, setting and indicative price. This scoring is not an indicator of care quality. It relates only to accommodation and takes no account of the care quality ratings from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) which are shown separately.

A basic, comfortable care home offering the essentials. Rooms do not include en suite facilities.
Deluxe ★★★
A mid-range care home offering a good level of comfort and more extensive communal facilities. Rooms have at least some en suite facilities (WC and basin).
Premium ★★★★
An upscale care home with a wide range of facilities and rooms with full en suite bathrooms.
Luxury ★★★★★
A luxury residernce with exceptional rooms and excellent facilities such as a cinema, bar/café, hairdressing salon, personalised service and high-end guest experiences.
