Rectory House care home is a residential nursing home that provides accommodation, personal care and dementia care for up to 48 guests living with the frailties of old age, physical disability, memory-loss, early- to-mild dementia or complex medical needs that require nursing care. It is located approximately 1.0 mile from the town centre. The residence is housed in a beautifully preserved building with a Georgian style frontage and driveway lined with oak, pine and chestnut trees. It has a warm family atmosphere. The main house was built in 1785 but the original part of the building dates back to the 1580s. It retains gracious features of the past like high ceilings and ornate cornices. There are two well appointed lounges where residents can relax, read or socialise. Guests can also enjoy quiet moments in the conservatory with views over a two-acre mature garden.
